Here is a different can style from the collection of Mick Burgess. It has a label applied to a plain can rather than print directly on the can itself. Could be an earlier version, a stop-gap measure when proper tins ran out of stock or even a later ‘austerity’ tin – label style though suggests an earlier version is the most likely.

The Canadian ‘IT’ No. 7 in long tins with the screw caps and liquefied contents is post-WWII from the late 1950s and early 1960s and was used to colour the Canadian 1951 Pattern Web which was manufactured in green.
